Montana State Parks is now accepting applications for the Montana Accessible Playgrounds Grant Program. Grant funds must be matched at a rate of 1 to 1 minimum, with $1 in state funds to $1 or more in other grant funds. A grant award will not exceed $10,000.

Many playgrounds throughout the state are not accessible or usable by children with disabilities and most Montana communities lack the funding needed to develop accessible playgrounds. The Montana Accessible Playgrounds Grant Program will help municipalities and school districts secure additional grant funding to develop accessible playgrounds where children of all abilities can learn, play and grow.

To view or download the Montana Accessible Playgrounds Grant application, guidelines and scoring criteria, visit stateparks.mt.gov and click on the “Recreation Activities & Grants” tab in the righthand navigation.

Please, mail completed grant applications to: Tom Reilly, Montana State Parks, 1420 E. 6th Avenue, P.O. Box 200701, Helena, MT 59620. Applications must be POSTMARKED by January 17, 2018. Late applications will not be considered.
