The Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation Forestry Division announces that the application period for the FY2018 Western Wildland Urban Interface Grant Program is now open.

Application materials are posted on the DNRC Forestry Division webpage:

Eligible applicants include but are not limited to non-profit organizations, conservation districts, county and municipal governments, and fire departments. Individual private landowners may not apply but may contact their DNRC Service Forester for the names of grant program sponsors in their areas to find out about cost-share opportunities for fuels reduction and stewardship on private forest land.

Applications must be submitted electronically to by 5pm on Monday, August 15, 2017.
