The Revenue and Transportation Interim Committee will meet September 13-14 in Room 172 of the Capitol building beginning at 2 p.m. on Wednesday and 8 a.m. on Thursday.

The tentative agenda includes an agenda item devoted to discussion of a projected general fund budget deficit on Thursday morning. Meeting materials are available on the committee website.

The committee will also:

  • begin work on the assigned studies on valuation of agricultural property, tax increment financing, and taxation of centrally assessed and industrial property;
  • receive agency updates from the Montana Tax Appeal Board and the Departments of Revenue and Transportation;
  • hold a panel discussion on the local government impacts of placing land into federal trust status;
  • receive and update on implementation of the changes to medical marijuana laws; and
  • review the work plan decisions made at the last meeting.
