Quilt Project at the MACo Annual Conference
Please pass this information on to your spouse/guest.
The American Hero Quilt Project is on again during our Annual Conference this year. Please bring your sewing machine, rotary cutter, mat and ruler, and any other basic sewing supplies. We will spend our time making red, white, and blue quilts that will be given to injured soldiers at the Madigan Army Hospital in Washington State.
Last year we got 7 quilt tops made. The Forsyth Piece Makers Quilt Guild will furnish the backing and batting, finish quilting them, and ship them to the hospital. If you don't sew, that's okay; we will teach you how to cut, you can press, or you can design. There is a place for everyone! You can come for an hour, a day, or for the whole process. Don't feel obligated to stay the whole time. We welcome everyone for as much time as they would like to spend.
We would like to ask each county to bring at least 1 yard of red, white, or blue fabric--we also use cream, beige, and/or gold. The fabric cannot have any sparkle or metallic thread in it.
If you have any questions, please email Marlys Lee at email@example.com.
Spouses/guests are invited to participate in any of the meals, and tickets may be purchased at the door. If a spouse/guest plans on attending, please register for a “name tag only.”
