AWR 148 Crisis Management for School-based Incidents: Partnering Rural Law Enforcement and Local School Systems

This eight-hour awareness-level course for school administrators and emergency responders will educate rural law enforcement personnel as well as school administrators and staff to effectively respond to an emergency involving a school building or an entire school system. The training will provide representatives of rural law enforcement departments with a foundation of knowledge and skills that will enable them to progressively establish a school-based emergency response plan and crisis management team through information sharing and training.

This workshop is designed to connect Montana farmers with valuable resources to help them succeed.

The workshop is scheduled for March 12 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Missouri Room of the Mansfield Civic Center.  There will be panel discussions on strategic marketing, risk management and finance, and beginning farmers and ranchers.

As Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks evaluates the past wolf hunting season, and prepares for the next, the Department would like to involve the Montana County Commissioners in the process.  FWP is aware that some counties are distressed about carnivore/predator management, and have suggestions on how to address various issues.

To that end, FWP extends this invitation to you, or to another representative from your County Commission, to attend the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Work Session on March 7, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at FWP Headquarters, 1420 East 6th Avenue, Helena, to participate in the large carnivore / predator management scoping process.

Please RSVP to Regena Peterson at  repeterson@mt.gov  or at 406-444-7826, no later than March 5, so we know how many folks to expect.
