We would like extend our gratitude for all of your help communicating with your Senators on House Bill 258, Revise local government laws related to public notice, a MACo-requested bill.

The bill passed off of the Senate Floor after a third reading vote of 44-6 on April 8.  Soon after, the House concurred on the amendments (second reading, 94-6; third reading, 84-13), and it was transmitted to the Governor on April 17.

After a long journey through the session, beginning with its first hearing in the House on January 29, HB 258 was signed by the Governor yesterday afternoon.

Again, thank you all for your help in getting this bill passed.  We could not have done this without you.
