CFHHS Interim Committee Files Objection to Provider Rate Rules

Posted Date:
July 26, 2017

The Children, Families, Health, and Human Services Interim Committee filed an objection today to four proposed administrative rules relating to reimbursement rates for health care and human services providers.

The objection delays adoption of the rules until at least Sept. 11, when the committee will meet and decide whether to continue or withdraw its objection.

The committee notified Department of Public Health and Human Services Director Sheila Hogan of its objection to the following proposed rules:

  • 37-788, pertaining to updating the effective dates of non-Medicaid and Medicaid fee schedules to October 1, 2017;
  • 37-801, pertaining to the behavioral health targeted case management fee schedule;
  • 37-802, pertaining to amendments to fee schedules for services for developmentally disabled individuals; and
  • 37-805, pertaining to revising nursing facility reimbursement rates for state fiscal year 2018.

The committee will hear from the department and take public comment on the rules at its Sept. 11 meeting before taking further action on the objection. The meeting will be held in Room 137 of the Capitol in Helena. An agenda for the meeting will be available on the committee's website by the end of August.
