The Medicaid Subcommittee of the Select Committee on Efficiency in Government has set a Dec. 10 deadline for accepting specific recommendations for changes to Medicaid-related laws or regulations.

The subcommittee decided earlier this week to review in January any suggestions related to streamlining Medicaid laws and regulations.

Members agreed that stakeholders must provide information that identifies the law or regulation that should be changed and the change that is needed. They set the Dec. 10 deadline for suggestions in order to give the Department of Public Health and Human Services an opportunity to review and respond to the ideas before the January meeting.

Suggested changes may be submitted in one of the following ways:

Suggestions that don't provide the statute number or administrative rule citation and that do not identify the change that is needed to the law or regulation will not be forwarded to DPHHS for review and thus will not be considered by the committee in January.
