Pre-Session Screening of Public Pension Proposals

The State Administration and Veterans' Affairs Interim Committee (SAVA) is required by law to solicit for review prior to the 2013 legislative session proposals to revise any of the public employee pension plans.  A memorandum on behalf of SAVA and a proposal questionnaire has been posted to the SAVA website under the information for the next meeting.  If your organization plans to develop a pension plan proposal and to ask a legislator to introduce the proposal during the 2013 session, please fill out a questionnaire for each proposal and return it to Sheri Scurr, Legislative Services Division, by August 1, 2012.

SAVA will be requesting presentations on the proposals at its August 8-9 meeting; and, as required by law, developing a committee report on each proposal presented.
