The Attorney General’s Office has received a proposed Constitutional Initiative to secure the rights of adults regarding marijuana.  The Attorney General’s Office is requesting comments on the ballot statements that will appear on the petition and the official ballot for this initiative.  Please respond with any comments you may have by Friday, December 9, 2011.  You may email your comments to ahuff@mt.gov.  Please also copy kstelling@mt.gov.

The Law & Justice Interim Committee is considering re-introducing HB 365 (Sponsored by Representative Mike Menahan) from the 2011 Session.  The Committee has asked us (MACo) to gather information from the MACo Members as to their comments and/or positions.

Use of Montana-Made Wooden Materials - Effective October 1, 2011

Special Fuel User Permit Number Required on Bids - Effective October 1, 2011

With the passage of HB 319, the 2011 legislature changed the bidding statutes so that when a bid is submitted, it MUST include the bidder’s special fuel permit number.  Effective Oct 1st, any bid that does not include this permit number CANNOT BE CONSIDERED.
