Volume 25, Issue 8

Week seven of the 66th Legislative Session was a wild ride, and the week of transmittal is just about to begin, which means we’re almost to the halfway point, with two months officially invested and two left to go!

To help keep you apprised of what’s happening on the hill, we will be releasing a new issue of the MACo Legislative Update weekly until Sine Die.

This week’s issue features the session calendar, which shows that Monday, February 25th is the final day to introduce general bills, and Saturday, March 2nd  is the final day for all general bills to cross over (transmit) to the other house; those that don’t will die in the process.  This issue also contains the bill hearings scheduled thus far for February 25th – 27th; no hearings have been scheduled for Thursday or Friday as of yet. The schedule is highlighted with MACo’s priorities. Don’t forget to check out the bills section; we’ve listed MACo bills as well as bills we were watching—the MACo bills, as well as various other bills, include some additional information to better inform our readers.
