The Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act of 2000 as reauthorized in Public Law 110-343, requires each county that receives funds under Title III of the Act to submit an annual certification that the funds have been expended for the uses authorized under section 302(a) of the Act.

The certification of 2011 expenditures is due February 1, 2012.  More information and a form is available at http://www.fs.usda.gov/main/pts/countyfunds/certification.

REMINDER: Counties that designated a portion of their SRS Forest Payments to Title III must report calendar year 2011 expenditures.  Failure to do so may result in having to repay those funds to the US Treasury.
