2017-2018 Lodging Rates

The General Services Administration has announced new lodging rates effective for travel beginning October 1, 2017. 

  • The standard rate increased from $91 to $93
  • Gallatin County increased from $93 to $94, except for June - September when it is $157
  • Butte increased from $94 to $95
  • Glendive - Sidney dropped from $122 to $94
  • Helena increased from $95 to $99
  • Missoula, Polson, Kalispell dropped from $95 to $94 for October - June and September, and dropped from $136 to $135 for July and August

Mileage Reimbursement Rate

The mileage reimbursement rate of $0.535 for the first 1000 miles in a calendar month and three cents less over 1000 miles does not change until January and has not yet been announced by the IRS.  We will send out a notification when this information is released.
 
Meal Reimbursement Rates

Meal rates are set in statute for meals without receipts.  Actual cost is paid with receipts.

  • In-State Meal Rates:  $5 for the morning meal, $6 for the midday meal, and $12 for the evening meal
  • Out-of-State Meal Rates:  $11 for the morning meal, $12 for the midday meal, and $23 for the evening meal
