The Montana Counties' SRS / 25-percent elections have been received.  We have learned today from USDA that the Secretary of Agriculture has established a new  due date for 25-percent payments or SRS payments, elections -- changing the legislation’s August 1 due date to late in September.

The Governor’s office will be sending out new-- 25-percent/SRS election forms WITH SRS Title I, II, & III allocation forms, once we receive the USDA guidance letter. These letters will likely be mailed early next week.

In order to comply with the laws September 30 due date for transmittal  of county elections from the Governor’s Office to USDA , we will ask County’s to submit the new forms  with allocations by  September 14, 2012.
