Montana State Parks is now accepting applications for the Montana Accessible Playgrounds Grant Program. Grant funds must be matched at a rate of 1 to 1 minimum, with $1 in state funds to $1 or more in other grant funds. A grant award will not exceed $10,000.

Draft Environmental Assessment on Potential Interim Locations for Brucellosis-Free Bison

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) invites the public to comment on the Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) on the evaluation of potential interim locations for the placement of brucellosis-free bison. The interim locations evaluated include: FWP’s Marias River Wildlife Management Area (WMA) and Spotted Dog WMA, tribal lands on the Fort Peck and Fort Belknap Reservations, the Green Ranch (Bozeman), and the Slip ‘n Slide pastures (Corwin Springs).

A new summary of bison history and activities in the West is being offered online by Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks to provide additional information related to the possible restoration of bison in the state.
