Update: All Montana Counties have opted to conduct the June 2nd Primary Election via mail ballot. The Governor issued a Directive (attached) this afternoon, March 25th, which allows counties to conduct the Primary Election via mail ballot.  This is not a statewide mandate; it is 100% local choice, and it’s ONLY for the June 2020 Primary Election.

Scammers are taking advantage of fears surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19). They’re setting up websites to sell bogus products,  using fake emails, texts, and social media posts as a ruse to steal money or harvest personal information.  Some of these emails and posts may be promoting awareness and prevention tips, or fake information about cases in your neighborhood. They also may be asking you to donate to victims, offering advice on unproven treatments, or contain malicious email attachments.

Prairie County Declares Emergency

On Friday the 13th of March, the Prairie County Commissioners declared an emergency/disaster due to the CoronaVirus Pandemic that we will have to address now and in the future. This will allow Prairie County to levy an additional 2 mills to address this issue.  At this point in time, Prairie County has no CoronaVirus infections documented, but believe it to be our responsibility to be prepared and aware of the threat.
