MACo Districts 1, 2 & 3 Meeting

MACo Districts 1, 2 and 3 will convene on June 4 at 9:00 a.m. This year’s meeting is hosted by Phillips County in Malta at the Tin Cup at Marian Hills Golf Course, 1652 US-191.

The agenda includes the election of chair and vice chair for Districts 1 and 2. These are key leadership roles, as the chairs also serve on MACo’s Board of Directors and represent the counties within their districts.

Attendees will hear reports from MACo officers, receive association updates, and review the preliminary FY 2027 budget. Additional discussions will cover transportation, emergency services, land use, and public safety. With the 2027 legislative session approaching, MACo’s policy process will be outlined and resolutions gathered.

Additionally, district meetings mark the opening of nominations for MACo officers. This year we will be accepting names for 2^nd Vice President. (Note Fiscal Officer is a 2-year term elected every odd-numbered year, as per the bylaws, so that election will be next year.)

The meeting will conclude with a Q&A session and opportunity to discuss issues affecting the counties in your area.
