Details

The Montana Association of Counties, in cooperation with the Local Government Center at MSU, is providing multiple regionalized trainings throughout Montana for this year’s Elected County Official Training.

While we would love to invite everyone to Helena for our annual training as usual, gathering a large group of people in one location for multiple days is not possible. Having said that, we are excited to bring this training opportunity closer to your home and hope you will find value in attending.

We have an excellent slate of presenters covering public sector governance, ethics, personnel management, as well as strategies for dealing with the public. COVID-19 is also a significant part of the training this year, given the multitude of changes in practices and operations during this pandemic.

The target audience is elected officials, both newly elected and seasoned incumbents. While our trainings are intended to be educational and entertaining, the true value comes from interacting with your colleagues—new and old—from different locations and positions in county government.

Registration is reduced to a fee of $50 per participant, which includes lunch. Counties may claim a portion of the cost of attendance as a reimbursable expense through the CARES Act Local Government Reimbursement Program.
