Pamela Holmquist
Commissioner, Flathead County

I am running for 2nd Vice President of MACo and would like to share why I think I would be a good choice as your representative.

As newlyweds, my husband and I started and operated a successful small business in our community for four decades. This experience was invaluable in teaching me how to build relationships, problem solve, do research, budget, and become a good listener. My strong work ethic, conservative values, common sense, and commitment to my faith, family, and community have served me well through the years. I proudly served on many community organizations and boards during that time.

In 2010, members of the community encouraged me to run for a county commissioner seat. I started my first term as Flathead County Commissioner in January 2011, my second term in 2017, and my third term in 2023. My focus has been on county budgeting, legislative impacts, property rights, law enforcement, water quality, and working hard to find solutions or to mitigate any issues that may come up.

I am currently serving as MACo District 10 chair and have participated in most of the MACo conferences and events over the last 15 years.

I have built relationships and friendships with United States and Montana State Representatives and Senators, as well as our current Governor. I believe these connections will be very beneficial should I win this seat for 2nd Vice President and eventually become President of MACo.

I humbly ask for your support and vote at the Annual Conference in Great Falls this September.

Pamela Holmquist,
Flathead County Commissioner
