Peer Review Coordinator
The Montana Association of Counties (MACo) is seeking a Peer Review Coordinator. The primary focus of this position is to oversee and implement the voluntary jail peer review program for local detention facilities in Montana. This program is a coordinated effort between MACo and the Montana Sheriffs and Peace Officer Association (MSPOA) to ensure local detention facilities are striving to meet the voluntary jail standards and that the facilities are inspected on an on-going basis. This position has extensive contacts with MACo staff, Sheriff’s, Jail Commanders, and County Commissioners.
Successful applicants should have a combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma or equivalent and five years of progressive, local detention facility career experience in a Montana facility with a minimum of an intermediate MT POST Detention Certificate. Other equivalent combinations of experience and training which provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work may be considered.
The starting pay range is $27.12/hour to $32.67/hour depending on experience. MACo offers a generous benefit package including health insurance (including dental and vision), 401k retirement contribution, vacation, sick leave, and holiday pay.
