Technical Support Specialist
The Montana Association of Counties (MACo) is seeking to hire a Technical Support Specialist. The primary focus of this position is to serve as the primary IT support resource for MACo and its membership. Duties include providing day-to-day services to member counties including direct technical assistance to users, overseeing ongoing user training and technical assistance services, resolving hardware and software problems, and monitoring system performance daily. The position is responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining desktop systems and security as well as the ongoing administration of database systems, including performance, security, capacity, connectivity, and other issues.
Successful applicants should have a combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associate’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field and 2 years of relevant experience including evaluating and resolving computer, system, and user problems. Other equivalent combinations of experience and training which provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work may be considered.
The starting pay range is $27.12/hour to $32.67/hour depending on experience. MACo offers a generous benefits package including health insurance (including dental and vision), 401k retirement contribution, vacation, sick leave, and holiday pay.
