Position Description
Summary
Anaconda-Deer Lodge County is seeking to hire a Chief Financial Officer. This position is responsible for overseeing the integrity of financial operations and executing fiscal policies for the local government.
This role involves the certification of all city-county transactions, ensuring compliance with budgeting standards, and managing accounts payable and receivable to maintain the financial health of the organization. As CFO, you will be tasked with a variety of administrative duties, which include operations. A strong grasp of local government accounting practices, legal obligations, and business administration will be essential to perform this role effectively.
Required Experience and Education
The candidate must possess in-depth knowledge of government accounting laws and bookkeeping standards to ensure accuracy and compliance in all financial records. A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a closely related field is required for this position. Relevant work experience will influence salary negotiations, with a salary range set from $75,000 to $91,000 annually.
