Position Description
Summary
Fallon County is seeking to hire DES & 911 Coordinator. This position serves a dual role within Fallon County in the development and implementation of the disaster & emergency services and technical advancement of the 911 services.
Duties
- Prepares written pre-mitigation, emergency & disaster, and dam safety plans.
- Supports emergency and disaster situations by working in coordination with a variety of local, state, and federal agencies in the development and implementation of these plans.
- Responsible for disaster planning and mitigation for Fallon County.
Required Education & Experience
Employment with Fallon County requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Preferred Education & Experience
Two (2) years previous work experience disaster and emergency planning, law enforcement, fire safety, or another emergency management field is preferred.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Must possess or obtain a Montana driver license within thirty (30) days of employment. This position is subject to pre-employment criminal background review; will utilize a County vehicle and is subject to a motor vehicle driving history review.
