Position Description

Summary

Powell County is seeking to appoint an Interim Public Administrator. This is an elected or appointed position. The Public Administrator provides services for persons in Powell County who may need guardianship or estate administration.

The Public Administrator is primarily a volunteer position.  There may be some compensation available in the administration of a probate estate.  The need for these services is infrequent but still very necessary as a public service.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, an applicant must be of voting age, a citizen of Montana, and a registered Powell County voter.  The successful applicant will be appointed by the Powell County Commissioners, and must take an oath of office, and be able to perform the functions and duties of the office responsibly and without conflict of interest.
