The Department of Public Health and Human Services (the Department), Addictive and Mental Disorders Division (AMDD), recently released a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Mobile Crisis Unit Grant. House Bill 660 established grant funding for one biennium to help communities develop mobile crisis units to respond to behavioral health crises in a community setting.

The Department did not expend the total appropriation during the initial RFP of the Mobile Crisis Unit Grant. The Department is now seeking to re-release the Mobile Crisis Unit Grant to provide an additional opportunity for communities to access funding for critical crisis and diversion services. AMDD intends to release the RFP on June 1st for a ten-month contract beginning on September 1st, 2020 and ending on June 30th, 2021.

An informational call will be held on Thursday May 7, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. The call is not a requirement for funding, but an opportunity for the Department to answer questions. A recording of the presentation will be posted on AMDD’s website. The call-in information is listed below:

Number: 406-444-4657
Conference ID: 1988127
