Why Does This Page Exist?

Glad you asked!  In early 2022, the Montana Association of Counties (MACo) and the Montana Association of Clerks & Recorders/Election Administrators assembled Montana’s election experts into a workgroup. For months, they collectively dug deep into Montana’s elections and determined that our elections are not only well-administered, but SO-much-so that the voters absolutely need to be better informed of the processes and be proud. This webpage was therefore created for the Montana’s election experts to access the different resources created by the workgroup as well as those utilized/acquired during the group’s work sessions.

What are These "Resources?"

These resources include information to help the voters be better informed, as well as images and flyers/posters to guide them to the information.

Informational Document

(for better educating voters)

The informational document is the core product of the election workgroup. This document addresses many common–as well as uncommon–election topics/issues circulating today. It’s in “question and answer” format, so voters can essentially get answers to their questions easily.

This is a living document, so it will continue to grow and be adjusted as new questions arise and as new laws/rules are enacted.

Access the document here or on the “Voting in Montana” website.

Website

(for better educating voters)

The “Voting in Montana” website is a creation for the Election Administrators, which is used exclusively for keeping the voters up-to-date and informed on all things elections (in Montana . . . we don’t track 49 other states’ happenings).

It also contains the information from the educational document. The education information is in the “Myth vs. Fact” section, which can be accessed from the homepage.

Access the website at www.VotingInMontana.org.

A great way to get folks to the website from social media is to post an image with the a question from “Myth vs. Fact” section and then add the link to that section. For example . . .

Can voters register under fake names, register multiple times, on behalf of other people? No! Find out more on our website created specifically for keeping Montana voters informed. Vote with confidence in Montana! (copy and paste link here)

Posters / Flyers

(for posting & handing out)

There are a number of flyers/posters available for download (in the “downloadables” section below) that have the website’s URL as well as a QR code that links directly to the website when scanned by a mobile phone.
