The Montana Association of Counties, in cooperation with the Local Government Center at MSU, will present our Elected County Officials training December 10-12. We have a revised program with the same purpose: Be both educational and engaging while providing practical insights and tools for your work in county government. This training is intended for all elected officials who wish to attend.

Accomodations

Rooms have been blocked at the venue at the rate of $132 (plus tax) per night. To make your reservations, contact the hotel at (406) 443-2100 and be sure to refer to the MACo room block. The cut-off date for the reduced rate is November 20th.

The Local Government Center Gala

The Local Government Center’s (LGC) is hosting their first ever 40th Anniversary Gala on December 11th, 6:30-8:30 p.m., during MACo’s Elected Officials Training. AND it’s being held in the same hotel!

Say more, you say?

It’s an event to commemorate four decades of dedication, leadership, and service to Montana’s local governments. The Gala will bring together colleagues from across the state to honor a shared history and look ahead to the future.

Honoring Local Officials

LGC is excited to create a space where local individuals can be publicly honored. These folks are those whose leadership, service, and collaboration have strengthened Montana’s local government.

Nominations are open until November 1, with all awards peer-nominated to ensure recognition comes from those who witness the impact firsthand. Learn more and make a nomination today!

Cancellation Policy

Registration will be refunded minus administrative costs only if cancellation is requested in writing by e-mailing either Meagan Gallagher at mgallagher@mtcounties.org or Sara McGowan at smcgowan@mtcounties.org no later than November 28th, 2025. No refunds will be issued after November 28th, 2025.
