Shane Gorder, MACo President & Richland County Commissioner

I am writing you all to say hello and to wish you, your family, and friends all well in these uncertain times.

Thank you to all the counties and your public staff and health departments that are working many hours and extra days to ensure the safety of their counties and cities.

Also, to law enforcement, EMTs, firemen, road departments, transportation, and other support staff out there working and taking care of our communities, thank you.

A special shout-out and a big thank you to our MACo Executive Committee members and the MACo staff for keeping us up to speed during these fast moving and changing times we are in.  Keep up the good work.

I must say that I do miss traveling to Helena and all the meetings and conventions that have been cancelled due to the coronavirus.  This has been a huge impact to our way of life and our Montana economy.  It’s going to take some time to heal. But as strong as we all are here in Montana, we will build this economy back to where we were or even stronger by working together.

I am praying and hoping that I will get to see some of you this June as I travel the state with MACo staff, if all goes well for our district meetings.  Please be safe and stay positive.  We will get there.  My phone is on, and I can take emails if any of you need anything.

I’m hoping to see you all soon.
