Sandra Marks joined MACo Health Care Trust Team on July 1st as their new Senior Account Executive. She comes to MACo with 27 years in TPA business (Third Part Administration), starting in 1994 with Intermountain Administrators–known now as Allegiance Benefit Plan Management Inc.–as one of the two Customer Services Representatives and was their 26th employee. Escalating quickly, she was soon promoted to Supervisor of the Customer Service Department and then to the Marketing Department as the Senior Client Services Representative and Account Service Representative.
Because of her extensive experience, Marks has been connected to MACo’s HCT on the TPA side from the Trust’s beginning. She’s watched the Trust grow over the years and has always felt connected to the team.
Getting to Know Sandra Marks
Marks was born and raised in Lewistown, MT, graduating from Fergus High School’s class of 1980 on the day Mount Saint Helens blew. She then headed to Alberton, MT, for one year before moving to Missoula. From there she was transferred to Omaha, NE, as a Franchiser with JB’s Restaurant. And in 1984, she made her way back to Missoula, working for the Missoula Federal Credit Union as an Encoder, Receptionist, and Customer Service Representative in their Member Services Accounts Department.
Marks has three grown children, one son in-law, one daughter-in-law, three grandchildren, and two Yorkie Terriers. Her hobbies include spending time with her grandchildren & family, traveling, and exploring new countries as well as any place off the beaten path. She enjoys bike riding, hiking, walking, and cross-country skiing different trails. Her youngest son lives on the island of Malta, which has given her the opportunity to travel to the UK, seeing new things as well as trying different foods and wines.
In her travels, Marks has been to northern and southern Italy, Rome, Venus, Paris, Malta, Gozo, and England. Ireland was on her list for 2020, but COVID-19 pushed pause on that trip. She’s looking forward to the day when she can travel once again to see her son, granddaughter, and daughter in-law, exploring more countries with them and the extended family she’s made during her travels.
