The Montana Association of Counties, in cooperation with the Local Government Center at MSU, will provide multiple regionalized trainings throughout Montana for this year’s Elected County Official Training.  The schedule is as follows:

  • December 1st:  Glasgow (Valley County)
  • December 2nd:  Forsyth (Rosebud County)
  • December 8th:   NEW LOCATION – Dillon (Beaverhead County) (Previously Boulder)
  • December 10th:  Choteau (Teton County):

Trainings will be from 8:00 a.m. to approximately 4:30 p.m. each day.  We have an excellent slate of presenters covering public sector governance, ethics, personnel management, and strategies for dealing with the public.

While we would love to invite everyone to Helena for our annual training as usual, gathering a large group in a central location for multi-day training is not possible this year.  Having said that, we are excited to bring this training opportunity closer to your home and hope you will find value in attending.

The target audience is elected officials, both newly elected and seasoned incumbents.  While our trainings are intended to be educational and entertaining, the true value comes from interacting with your colleagues—new and old—from different locations and different positions in county government.

Registration and other information will be distributed as well as posted on our events page soon.
