MACo Committee Meetings

MACo’s Committees Are Convening!

The MACo Committees will be convening on February 28th during MACo’s Midwinter Conference in Billings at the Billings Hotel & Convention Center.  Meetings are split in two blocks of time with four committees meeting from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. and four meeting from 4:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Members are encouraged to attend committee meetings regardless of holding a position on the committee.

Meeting Block 1  |  2:00 – 3:30 p.m.

Meeting Block 2 | 4:00 – 5:30 p.m.

What Are MACo Committees?

MACo’s Policy Committees are essential to our Association’s operation, as they represent the interests of the members and serve to guide the actions of the Association.

What Are They Doing at the Conference ?

As of January 1st, we are officially in our pre-legislative year, so committees will begin preparing their individual committee policy statements. They will also hear from various speakers and have timely and pertinent round-table discussions that could very well lead to committee resolution proposals—one of the first steps to MACo’s 2023 legislative package!  (Read more about our legislative process here.)

We encourage everyone to attend the meeting(s) of his/her choice.  Even if you are not an appointed member on a committee, your input and voice is valuable and will be heard.  Please get involved.  We can’t be successful without your participation!

Montana County Coalition Meetings

Montana County Coalitions Are Also Convening!

Montana County Coalitions are separate entities from MACo–not like MACo Committees, which are created within and managed by the Association. Most of the Coalitions have articles of incorporation filed with the Secretary of State’s Office and bylaws of their own by which they abide. Because many members are all gathered in the same location for MACo Conferences, they often choose to convene outside of conference hours to conduct important business. Very smart and cost effective! See below to see what coalitions are coming together and when.
